Ancient Secrets of the

Redmond, Fri-Sun, Jul 18-20,
Music Explorium, 5314 Highway 55
Ste 102, Durham NC
Directions here
Chanting, overtone singing, and
humming sacred sounds to the
rhythms of the frame drum is an
ancient technique for directly
synchronizing the mind and body,
creating conditions for
psychological, physical, and
spiritual healing. The ancient
Bee Priestesses, called the
Melissa in Greek or the Deborahs
in Hebrew, served the Bee
Goddesses: Aphrodite, Artemis,
Cybele, Demeter, Persephone,
Neith, all associated with the
frame drum. This gathering will
explore these ancient techniques
through drumming, chanting,
overtone singing, and buzzing
and humming practices. Complete
registration details coming
soon! Note: To attend this
event, you must have taken an
Introduction to Frame Drum class
with Layne or with Farrunnissa.
An Intro class will be presented
Sat 17-May in Durham, see
details above. Contact:
