Share a long summer
weekend at the beach with two of the most
beloved and inspiring teachers in the world,
including the Dances of Universal, Zikr
("remembrance"), Sohbet ("spiritual
discourse"), Turning, meditation and
silence, exploring sacred sound through
drumming, men's and women's Zikr circles,
and the teachings of Hazrat Pir-O-Murshid
Inayat Khan, Murshid Samuel L. Lewis, Pir
Moineddin Jablonski, and Murshida Vera
Corda.
Murshida
Mariam Baker lives in the Great Whirling
Dance. World traveler, student, mother of
five children, and treasure hunter for tools
of personal and planetary growth and
healing, she is a senior teacher and center
leader for the Mevlevi Order, facilitating
classes internationally in the practice of
Turn and other meditative practices in the
tradition of Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi.
Initiate in the Inayati Chistia lineage of
Sufism through Hazrat Inayat Khan and
Murshid Samuel Lewis, she was a student and
friend of the late Pir Moineddin Jablonski,
and received his transmission to continue
Sufi Soulwork© a marriage of psychological
and spiritual tools which open pathways to
the integration of being human. She is an
active member of the Sufi Ruhaniat
International, a leader of the Dances of
Universal Peace since 1974, and has taught
throughout the United States, Canada,
Russia, Europe, and Australia. She is the
former director of Theater of Healing and
author of Woman As Divine, Tales Of The
Goddess, published in 1981, one of the
first modern books illuminating the Sacred
Feminine.
| A
limited number of individual
Sufi SoulWork© sessions with
Mariam will be available before
